Question: Is lemon law only for new cars?

I bought a lemon its a used car and the motor went out after 2 months

Yes. I believe we mentioned that already for you. Of course, to our surprise, the Land of Entrapment, er, Enchantment (aka New Mexico) has a pretty filthy Lemon Law that we discovered recently where the buyer has about 20 days to have a dealer get a car in running condition or the car can be returned. In every state the answer is YES. Lemon Laws protect the consumer from manufacturing defects that the dealers can't fix, not abused and neglected old cars that break down due to poor maintenance.
